1818: Por descuido, Pablo Morillo, sitiado por Páez en San Fernando de Apure, escapa hacia Caracas.

1825: Perú otorga a Sucre el grado de Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho.

1856: Se inicia la tradición de llevar a la Divina Pastora de la iglesia de Santa Rosa a Barquisimeto.

1870: Desembarcó de Guzmán Blanco en Falcón, iniciando la Revolución de Abril.

1936: Una manifestación multitudinaria, calculada en 40.000 personas, encabezada por el rector de la UCV Francisco Antonio Rísquez, exige al Presidente de la República que levante el estado de emergencia y la CENSURA A LA PRENSA, y se castigue a los culpables de la muerte de los que protestaron en la mañana.
