1818: Con la ayuda de Francisco Carabaño, Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi se fuga y embarca en el puerto español de Santa Maria de Cádiz en un buque norteamericano con destino a la ciudad de Filadelfia. De esa manera, culmino su cautiverio de un año y dos meses en España a donde fue llevada como prisionera por decisión de los realistas en Venezuela tras fracasar en su intento de conseguir la rendición de su esposo, el general patriota margariteño Juan Bautista Arismendi.
