Nace Benedetto Croce en 1866

Efemérides

Un día como hoy pero de 1866 nace en Pescasseroli en la región italiana de los Abruzaos, el filósofo, político e historiador Benedetto Croce; el cual en 1946 fundará en Nápoles el Instituto Italiano para los Estudios Históricos. Su visión sobre la historia como conocimiento contemporáneo y no como conocimiento pasado, debido a que la idea que tenemos de este se encuentra motivada por un interés que surge en el presente; es un principio que guía mi visión de la historiografía, y es por ello que escribo este blog: permanente visión de la historia desde las preocupaciones del presente. Croce murió el 20 de noviembre de 1952.

1980: The Suriname government ( elected after gaining independance from the Netherlands in 1975 ) was overthrown by a military coup which was initiated with the bombing of the police station from an army ship of the coast of the nations capital; Paramaribo.

1983: Muere Tennessee Williams, American playwright (b. 1911)
