Hoy era el día de la Bandera.

Un día como hoy pero de 1806 Francisco de Miranda flamea la bandera nacional por primera vez, la cual era su creación, en la rada de Jacmel, Haití. El tricolor amarillo, azul y rojo en este orden y las franjas del mismo tamaño.

Este era el día de la bandera en Venezuela hasta que Chávez decidió cambiarla para el 3 de agosto fecha en que se flamea en el territorio nacional; pero extrañamente (¿rebeldía u olvido?) muchos negocios tenían la bandera puesta hoy, en Caracas. En la UCV estaba puesta también, esa gigantesca bandera que ponen en una altísima asta. Creo que es la más alta de Caracas.
